Problem: I think the problem was that the building was made too quickly, therefore the design was not quality enough to work during emergencies.
Evidence: The fire proof glue stuff for the steel designs did not hold. They blew right off when the planes hit the towers. They got really cheap rockwall instead of concrete. The towers fell in the same day because the iron bars could not hold the weight that was bearing down on them.
Contributing Factors: The project was rushed when it was built. They went for the cheapest stuff that was quickest to access. I think that they wanted to get the building done quickly because it was a big project and would be a big accomplishment once it was finished.
Solution: If they would have taken more time, and double checked scenarios to the extreme I think that the towers would have been fine. They could try to surround the emergency stairs better with concrete wall. They should have just taken more time. Period.
